Honey’s art invites us to feel and reconnect with moments that shape us. Loose, expressive brushstrokes in watercolour and acrylic, capture the quiet beauty of nature, while playful ink illustrations capture the humour and fleeting moments of everyday life. Every piece begins with curiosity.

Less line.
More imagination.

I've painted and cartooned for as long as I can remember. It's a source of pleasure, amusement and a record of time.

I used to entertain students with live illustrations as I taught. In the past I've created stories and cards; illustrated manuscripts; designed sets for school musicals and produced portraits of both people and animals. Throughout, my art celebrates what's around us.

In general, my work is either in acrylics or in watercolour and ink. My style is abstract expressionism - using broad brushstrokes and colours evocative of the subject. I love capturing the minimum of detail, so that the viewer's mind takes over. My illustrations focus on the humorous side of life through animal characters. Quirks of human nature or celebrations of significance are easily depicted. Pet caricatures make everyone laugh. Line drawings make great gifts for staff farewells or as special gifts for family.

The essence of my art is the connection between artist and viewer. Original works have a magnetic presence, especially in your home. Every piece I create comes from my heart to yours – real art from a real human being.
